This one is different because you have the Classic Orch Track then "Caterina" singing the same track hence the "Chaser" in the Title....also I have 2 versions of this L/P the "English Release"(Stereo) and the "Spanish Release"(Mono)...On the Spanish Release they have 2 extra tracks on it ..Composer "Debussy" Reverie & My Reverie....I supose it had something to do with "Copyright" at that particular time 1960....So Front cover is The English Version..And Back Cover Is The Spanish One...

Tom Jones..320 Kbps

Ok now change of pace now !!! we have Mr TJ in "Las Vegas"in the early 70's doing his thing it seems that he must have gone off the stage and into the audience a few times as you can hear by all his "Hello Where You From" bits !!....It would be great if anybody out there who has seen his show in "Las Vegas" or even better was there when this recording was made could fill us in on some details..it would be a very interesting comment !!
This is "Tom Jones" at his best his voice is spot on and a faultless performance of his hits as well as songs of the day...

Roger Whittaker..320 Kbps

Here's a singer that belongs to a small group of voices that does not match the face or "Vice Versa"....he has that distinction of a dark brown mellow voice with very distinctive tone that come to fore in a couple of the songs on this L/P...."Dirty Old Town" & "The Last Farewell". it seems that he wrote many of the songs on here and some of the "lyrics" are great !!...Just can't get the opening couple of lines of his song on "Side Two Track 9" out of my head !!..."Quote"
"Myself I'm Made Of Nothing And My Head Is Stuffed With Hay
But My Brother Was A Poet Or At Least That's What They Say.....And of course can't not mention his whistling hit "Mexican Whistler" !!! "This is a great L/P...Thanks to my sister "Rina" for this one !!!

The Vienna State Opera Orchestra..320 Kbps

Re-Post
Earlier on we dipped our toes in the light classical mode...now I think we will dive into the "Cosmos" and go all classical for a change !!....Most people will be aware of the track "Mars" but I wonder how many knows where it comes from !!...Sooooooooo folks it's here !!!
The Planets Suite was first performed in September 1918 so it is a fairly modern piece of classical music and its a "Beaut"...On the back sleeve there is a very good description of the moods of music of the tracks written by "Imogen Holst"who I assume to be the daughter of the composer......so be adventurous and give it a go !!

 1. Mars
2. Venus
3. Mercury

1. Jupiter
2. Saturn
3. Uranus
4. Neptune

Leo Sayer..320 Kbps

If you have recovered from the hectic busy sounds of the last few posts then this one will be pleasing to the ear !!!...."Leo" Circa 1978 Produced again by that guy who seems to have been everywhere in the 70's / 80's .."Richard Perry"!!....when I first saw the track list I was wondering what he would do to "Stormy Weather"but it wasn't the standard a new song with the same title !!

1. Stormy Weather
2. Dancing The Night Away
3. I Can't Stop Loving You Though I Try
4. La Booga Rooga
5. Raining in My Heart

1. Something Fine
2. Running To My Freedom
3. Frankie Lee
4. Don't Look Away
5. No Looking Back

Chas and Dave..320 Kbps

It does seem that my friends and family seem really keen on these "Singalong" L/P's because that's where they are coming from and this one is full of song's I've never heard of ... so hands up those who has heard of "Aunty Skinners Chicken Dinner" or maybe "Down Fell The Pony In A Fit"!!!...but I guess its all good fun and would go down well at a party that has plenty of "Booze" flowing !!!....The second side has more well known songs on it and it does seem like they have sung the whole lot all in one go!!...BUT knowing what they can do these days "Technically"I don't think So !!!

Phil Kelsall...320 Kbps

To continue the "Organ " Sound we now have the "Daddy"of Organs "The Wurlitzer" complete with pipes and foot pedals... and not a "Chip" in sight (I think)....It certainly has a different sound from the previous "Electronic" one !!....it says on the back sleeve that this organ is 48 years old ..that was in 1982 so by my reckoning its now in its 82nd year !!...That is if it is still in "The Tower Ballroom Blackpool"...maybe someone from "Blackpool" could amswer that !!....Its uncanny that on the tracks "How About You" & "Tomorrow" there is a perfect "Piano" all done with pipes....no "Electronics" or "Chips" (Except In Paper") in the 1930's when this organ must have started its life..So give it a lsten to !!!...first couple of tracks are a bit scratchy but it gets better as it goes on !!!

Klaus Wunderlich

Here's some organ music that has a whole orchestra packed into the back of it !!...courtesy of "Bob" who seems to like The "Organ" Sound !!....ain't it marvelous what "Digital" and "Chips" can do these days !!!....Gone are the day's when the mention of "Chips" always came after "Fish" !!!!!

Kiri Te Kanawa...320Kbps

Re-Post

This one I have mixed feelings with....arrangements by "Nelson Riddle"..fantastic and Kiri sings in a lower key so she is not using her "Operatic" voice...on the whole it's a good set of standards the only thing is I wish she had "swung" it a bit more...that is a couple of tracks she does do just that but I would have liked her to do more....best track is "I didn't Know What Time It Was"

P.S. Just think what a good track "How High The Moon" might have been if Kiri had done an "Operatic Scat" ala "Ella"

1. Blue Skies
2. Speak Low
3. It Might As Well Be Spring
4. Here's That Rainy Day
5. I Didn't Know What Time It Was
6. Yesterdays

1. So In Love
2. How High The Moon
3. True Love
4. Gone With The Wind
5. When I Grow To Old To Dream
6. The Folks Who Live On The Hill

Smokie...320 Kbps

This group From The 70's lead singer always reminded me of "Rod Stewart" but hearing this L/P "Chris Norman" is his name  and listening to all the songs and not just the couple of hits that are featured on this I think I was wrong he is a singer in his own right !!...and a good one !!
First two tracks are the hit ones...and  "Julia" and "Back To Bradford" is ones to get excited about !!!
