Cabaret London Cast Version....320 Kbps

Re-Post Requested By Three-Olive Garnish

I did not get to see the stage version of "Cabaret" I only know the film...It looks like it might have been slightly different from the film....seeing that there are quite a lot of songs that where not in the film....Still Filmmakers have to make it more interesting and they have more scope to do things....with a stage adaptation you are tied to the size of the stage.. and also films don't have that atmosphere of the "Live" performance which if anything goes wrong its there for all to see !!....Films you just do it again &again & again till you get it right....It opened on 28th February 1968 at "The Palace Theatre London"....Liza Minnelli certainly made the part of "Sally Bowles"in the film her own !!!!

Kiki Dee....320 Kbps

Re-Post Requested By Anonymous

Kiki Dee is the only British Singer that has been signed by "Tamla Motown"..this 1970 L/P has her singing cover versions of Motown songs...and she does a darn good job of it....just listen to her version of "For Once In My Life"...I think that if it had been issued as a single it would have become a hit !!...this was a one and only session for the Motown label which is a pity because I think she could have done well working with the Motown Song Writers...

P.S. I think that this is one of Kiki's best L/P's

1. The Day Will Come Between Sunday And Monday

3. Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing
4. Jimmy
5. I Can't Bring Back The Love I Feel For You

3. Love Is A Warm Kind Of Sorrow
4. For Once In My Life
5. My Whole World Ended
6. I Second That Emotion

Louis Armstrong....320 Kbps

It seems incredible that Louis was nearly 60 (59) to be presise !....when he recorded this L/P....and it has his voice "Matured" so it say's on the back sleeve....but I would have thought that there would have been some difference in his younger vocals being as his voice is so unique and with that great trumpet playing...but no its as fresh as when he first started in 1917 !!....but perhaps not so wild !!....A very nice selection of standard songs sung as only Louis can !!!
