Happy New Year everybody !....Thanks for looking in !!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy !
Yes, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too, Mick! You could not have been more appropriate for New Year's. When I was a little boy, my family would always have the TV broadcast on during New Year's Eve and the countdown. This took place at my grandparents' home in London, Ontario, and they would frequent the Winter Garden for the local dances played by Guy and his Royal Canadians. This is emotional for me, and sadly discontinued by the TV stations to keep up with the times... Well, this was TIMELESS romance, warmth and class... You couldn't pay me to watch the 'entertainment' they've dirtied the airwaves with in present times... :( THANK YOU so much, sir!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year indeed!
ReplyDeleteMy mother's family was from PEI, and Guy Lombardo was a favorite of hers. New Year's Eve always included music by Guy and orch...
Thanks.
Cheers,
