Brenda Mae Tarpley (born December 11, 1944), known professionally as Brenda Lee, is an American singer. Primarily performing rockabilly, pop, country, and Christmas music, she achieved her first Billboard hit at age 12 in 1957, and was given the nickname "Little Miss Dynamite". 

 Her studio album Brenda Lee (1960) was the first to make the US Billboard 200 chart, climbing to number five. In October 1960.

Starting in 1956 some very early Brenda's recording's pity that it only goes up to 1966...her voice defiantly changes through the years see my other post of hers !!....Even in the 10 years that this L/P covers you can hear the difference !!!..and of course the type of songs do make the difference from 1961 on they are less frantic !!...so the sound bite is the 1956 one to give you a taste!!

This L/P certainly took me by surprise...didn't realise that Brenda Lee could sing as she does on this Album....certainly her voice has changed since her teens... give it a listen you will be surprised like I was....It ticks all the boxes....
