 Anne Shelton was a very popular singer from the 50's & 60's and I believe that she was the only singer to sing with "Glenn Millers" band when he came to England to do some broadcasting for the BBC....This L/P is a collection of her singles and a couple of tracks from another L/P which I will be posting later

P.S Just a bit of "Musical Trivia"....Anne's recording of "Lay Down Your Arms" was banned from being played on the BBC because of the fact that "Soldiers were not suposed to lay down their Arms (Weapons) according to the WD !!!.....It still was one of Anne's greatest hits and I believe was a no 1 for her (I think) !!!

and some info for everybody about "Annie"

She was born Annie Violette Fratellini on November 14, 1932 in Algiers, French Algeria, where her parents, who were circus performers, were touring. She was fourth generation of one of Europe's most illustrious clown dynasties, the Fratellini Family, a French circus family of Italian descent. Her father was Victor Fratellini, a clown and acrobat; her mother, Suzanne (née Rousseau), was the daughter of Gaston Rousseau, the director of the Cirque de Paris, a huge circus building located Avenue de la Motte-Picquet in Paris that was active from 1906 to 1930. Her grandfather was Paul Fratellini, one of the Fratellini brothers, the legendary clown trio that was the Toast of Paris (and Europe) between the two world wars.

Although she made her debut in the ring at age 13 at the famous Cirque Medrano in Paris, she eventually ran away from the circus when she was 18 years old, and begun a music-hall and recording career as a musician and singer. She also became a movie actress, appearing notably in 1965 in La Métamorphose des cloportes a film directed by Pierre Granier-Deferre (1927-2007), whom she had married in 1954.

Now this one might someday become a rare one !!....Story is my parents in the 70's had a holiday in "St Lucia"and came back with this souvenir...Don't think it's been played very often twice to my knowledge !!...It was produced by the "Hotel Halcyon" where they stayed
I had a check on "Google"but it is now not there... either pulled down or completely refurbished and a name change....The tracks are by musicians and vocalists that performed there...Maybe somebody out there also had a holiday and stayed at the Hotel if so you can always leave a comment !!....overall its a pleasant L/P.... pleasant listening !!!!

Think I must have fallen asleep had to much to eat !!...still in "BobsLand"and although this L/P says on the front "The One And Only Original ".I don't think its the original recordings and the line up look different !!!....and that is definitely not "Zola Taylor" on the front cover !!...From about 1969 the line up changed..... many times till 2015 the members included Frank Pizarro, Billy Cox, Wayne Miller, Cheo Bourne and Valerie Victoria, which took the group to success domestically and internationally....and those I guess are the ones on the cover !!!......Maybe !!!!
