It seems we are still in the West End and in 1968 thats when this "Original London Cast" was on...Must say I've never heard of this one so its open to everyone who may have seen it to comment on it !!!!
I caught this production near the end of its run during the summer of 1972. I hadn't planned on any theatre-going, but three days opened up in my schedule and I caught this show and a couple others.
Although the show was enjoyable, it was clear to be at the time that it did not have a great score (only "Amor vincet omnia" was a bit memorable) and that it was too disconnected to be an easy film. My opinion at the time was also that it seemed less interesting than "Robert and Elizabeth," and this latter show also seemed unfilmable.
