I owned a copy of this album way back in the 60s, released in the UK on the Nonsuch label. Everyone I played it to thought it either weird or worse, but I rated it highly. Time has meant most people’s ears are now more attuned to accept a much more diverse musical palette. This album wears well and deserves to be heard widely.
I can't imagine that many of the latest pop songs of today would sound as good as The Beatles Songs done this way (Baroque) !!!
