Annie Haslam...320 Kbps

I wonder if the view could have been this (See Post Below)

This is Annie Haslam  having a go at the classics with the "Royal Philharmonic Orch"...not a bad effort but I think that she could have gone further with it and put a bit a rhythm in the tracks like "Waldo De Los Rios" did !!!

P.S. After recording it again and listening to this L/P again I take back what I said in the above
"Quote".....Its perfect how it is and I guess the "rhythm" bit I mention would spoil it.....
Sooooooooo if you like your popular classic melody's sung then have a listen to this !!!

Franck Pourcel & Orchestra

Seated at a nice table in the restaurant overlooking the sea.... great meals and plenty of Vino is the next thing and of course the music playing in the background could well be this one !!!!

Kurt Edelhagen & Orhestra

Ok!!! you can now get off the lounger on the beach or pool and have a dance in the "Grand Ballroom" of your 6 *****(Star) the Jive..Waltz..and anything else that you can do !!!...or just listen to this great Band !!

Digno Garcia Trio Del Paraguay

Fancy a trip to the "Exotic Paraguay" via "Bob" and of course the Music !!...a couple now from across the it is now coming up to annual holiday time might get some of us in the mood for some far flung holiday's !!!

Barry Manilow..320 Kbps

All the well known hits are on this L/P as well as some of Barry's Power Ballads....I always thought that he wrote all his own songs and recorded them...BUT looking at the information only about half of them on this L/P were written by him....Well you learn something new every day !!!..."Mandy" his first big hit was originally called "Brandy" and I did have the single of it...But I can't remember who it was by !!!...not got it now so I can't look !!!....Just got a flash I think it was also by a Barry.... Something !!!...BUT could be wrong....

Elvis Presley...320 Kbps

This one from "Elvis" contains some not so familiar songs...Unless of course you are a die hard fan and seen all of his films !!!...Because all of the tracks are from his "Films"

4. A Whistling Tune
5. Follow That Dream

1. King Of The Whole Wide World
2. I'll Take Love
3. Today Tomorrow And Forever
4. I'm Not The Marring kind
5. This Is Living

Barbra Streisand..320 Kbps

Here's Barbra produced and accompanied by "Barry Gibb" that includes their hit single and Barbra's hit "Woman In Love"....Both of these singers where at the top of their tree in 1980. !!
So this is a good slice of popular music from that era !!.....No detriment to the singers or this L/P but I wonder why on all the tracks but one the producers decided to do a fade at the end of the songs and not let us listen to an ending !!!!.....It seems that that could be the norm from the 80's and even to today !!!

1. Guilty....with Barry Gibb
2. Woman In Love
3. Run Wild
4. Promises
5. The Love Inside

1. What Kind Of Fool....with Barry Gibb
2. Life Story
3. Never Give Up
4. Make It Like A Memory

Caterina Valente..320 Kbps

Re-Post Requested By Newlyner

Another first class effort from Caterina...I wish it was the "Stereo" the early 60's when most of these "Decca" releases were bought if I remember it was quite an effort for the record shops to stock "Stereo" versions unless you asked for was in the late 60's I think that they began to stock both the "Stereo" and The "Mono" versions as part of there ordering system.....Back to the L/P with "Johnny Keating & His Orch" this swings like the big bands of the 50's !!!
