Iris Luella DeMent (born January 5, 1961) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. DeMent's musical style includes elements of folk, country and gospel. She has been nominated for a Grammy Award twice.
DeMent's first album, Infamous Angel (1992), was released on the Rounder-Philo label, exploring such themes as religious skepticism, small-town life, and human frailty. "Let the Mystery Be" has been covered by a number of artists.

I already have this album, but want to confirm what a grea tvoice Iris has. She has sung great duets with some of the best: John Prine, Willie Nelson,Emmylou Harris, Delbert McClinton and others. If you like country be sure to give this album a listen.
