Lita Roza - Just In Time & Interview

Eydie Gorme.

Along with "Eydie Vamps The Roaring Twenty's" this is my favourite Eydie L/P...This is what you call Mood Music and she sings brilliantly !!!!
Yes this cover is worn and battered so you know what that means... "Yep" correct a favourite once more....Its one to remember... I did read somewhere that she won an award for it... and if she did it is worth it...not got a favourite track because everyone is a gem!!....Having said that I just love "Why Try To Change Me Now"...not because of the way she sings it but the lyrics blow me away....This was recorded in 1958....61 years ago...Another brilliant vocalist that was taken from us too soon !!

Demis Roussos....320 Kbps

Not heard too much of "Demis's work so I reckon that this L/P comes under the "More you hear it the better it becomes" slot !!...The second side is much better than the first side apart from the last track on the first side "On the Greek Side Of My Mind"which is rather way out and "Cool"!!!

Jackie Trent & Tony Hatch

The fantastic voice of Jackie Trent does justice to some of the twenty tracks on this L/P also joined by her then husband Tony Hatch on some of them !!...then to keep it well in the family we have tracks from "The Orchestra" "Sound" & "The Singers & Swingers" of Tony Hatch !!

Jackie Trent & Tony Hatch.320 Kbps

Re-Posts Requested By Susan !

Tony Hatch & Jackie Trent - The Two Of Us  (1967)
Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent were married at the time of their 1967 album The Two of Us. WhileHatch had released some instrumental easy listening albums under his own name, this was the first time he'd sung anything but background vocals on record. Understandably, however, his singing was somewhat subservient to Trent's, who had already scored hits in the U.K. with Hatch as producer.

Young At Heart.(Film)..320 Kbps

This is not from the soundtrack....In the distant 50's I think that they would go into the studio and record the songs...on this L/P there are two tracks that are not in the film and you don't get the title song either...I think it was because Sinatra recorded for "Capitol" records so I suppose it was something to do with "Contractual" things... The two songs that Frank sings are the ones not in the film.."One For The Road" was ok because he had recorded it before he moved to "Capitol"... before he joined the "Capitol" Label he was recorded by "Columbia" which was "Philips" in England...When I was in my teens Doris Day was my favourite singer...

1. Till My Love Comes To Me......Doris Day
2. Ready Willing And Able.....Doris Day

Mel Torme...320 Kbps

A nice set of songs by "The Velvet Fog"....That I believe is what they used to call Mel Torme...Just checked on "Google" to see if he was still with us and unfortunately he died in 1999.
He had a big hit in England with his version of "Mountain Greenery"...not sure if it was a hit world wide I should imagine that it was....He in my opinion was a Male "Ella"as far as his voice he could "Scat" just like Ella....its a pity they didn't do any recording together !!
