ReplyDeleteThanks for this . . . it brings back memories of one of those awful 60s ITV television talent shows (probably compered by the horrendous Hughie Green) when 'Wheels' was used by a strange bloke who twitched his muscles to the tune whilst standing on a plinth clothed in a pair of minimalist swimming trunks. You couldn't make it up. Thank goodness we've moved on. But the music, although novel, is quite listenable. Cheers Esp.
ReplyDeleteThat'll be Tony Holland. He's now 84. He achieved national celebrity in the UK after appearing on the ITV talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1964. He won the show six times and went on to repeat his 'muscle dancing' act on Sunday Night at the London Palladium.
