Johnny Mathis.

I have said in previous posts of JM that I prefer him when he sings up tempo and swinging songs...But I stand corrected with this L/P...Although the songs are sung more or less how they were written It's a great L/P enhanced by just a couple of guitars and a bass... he brings completely fresh versions of the standard songs...which I have said many times before. the arrangements as well as the voice go a long way to an excellent L/P and this is a first class one....I do believe it is some of his earlier recordings !!!

Andre Popp Orchestra

André Charles Jean Popp (19 February 1924 – 10 May 2014) was a French composer, arranger and screenwriter.
In 1957, Popp released Delirium in Hi-Fi (originally titled Elsa Popping et sa musique sidérante), a collaboration with Pierre Fatosme, an experiment in the recording techniques of the time. ( which is a few posts below this one ) !!
Popp made one-of-a-kind space-age instrumental recordings during the 1950s and by the early 1960s had built quite a good reputation in the music recording industry and was in demand as an arranger. He made orchestrations for Rive Gauche legend Juliette Gréco that were jazzy, urbane, vibrant, quirky, even cartoonish at times. The arrival of rock and roll in France and, consequentially, yé-yé music, dramatically changed the expectations of French audiences and record buyers.

Herbie Mann

Brazil: Once Again is an album by jazz flautist Herbie Mann which was recorded in 1977 and released on the Atlantic label. The album marks Mann's return to the Brazilian influences that first emerged on his early 1960s albums like Right Now, Brazil, Bossa Nova & Blues, Do the Bossa Nova with Herbie Mann and Herbie Mann Live at Newport.
Herbert Jay Solomon (April 16, 1930 – July 1, 2003), known by his stage name Herbie Mann, was an American jazz flautist and important early practitioner of world music. Early in his career, he also played tenor saxophone and clarinet (including bass clarinet), but Mann was among the first jazz musicians to specialize on the flute. His most popular single was "Hijack", which was a Billboard No. 1 dance hit for three weeks in 1975.
Mann was an early pioneer of the fusion of jazz and world music. In 1959, following a State Department sponsored tour of Africa, he recorded Flautista!, an album of Afro-Cuban jazz. In 1961 Mann toured Brazil.
