Rita Reys

Its great to hear some great voices that maybe you would not get to hear without this great cosmos ! space ! air waves ! that enables us to use the "Internet !!....and this voice that goes by the name of "Rita" is definatley one to listen to !!

 Rita Reys was long ago billed as "Europe's First Lady of Jazz." A legend overseas, Reys was one of the top jazz singers in Europe from the mid-'50s to the turn of the millennium.
 Rita Reys (born Maria Everdina Reijs; 21 December 1924 – 28 July 2013) was a jazz singer from the Netherlands. At the 1960 French jazz festival of Juan-les-Pins, she received the title, "Europe's first lady of jazz".[

    Sad but true fact. Her husband Wes, a drummer who led the accompaniment on one side of this LP, would be dead within a year of this recording, in a car crash, aged 34.
