Phil Bodner (June 13, 1917 – February 24, 2008) was an American jazz clarinetist and studio musician known for his versatility across various woodwind instruments, including flute, oboe, saxophone, and English horn. He was a prominent figure in the jazz scene, recording with notable artists such as Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, and Gil Evans. Bodner is best known for leading the instrumental group The Brass Ring, which released nine albums between 1966 and 1972, and achieved two hit singles, "The Phoenix Love Theme" and "The Dis-Advantages of You". 

The band was based in New York City and was stylistically similar to The Tijuana Brass, The Brass Buttons, the Baja Marimba Band, and other "Now Sound" instrumental pop groups from the 1960s, although the twin-sax sound more closely resembles the music of Billy Vaughn, whose biggest hits were in the 1950s.
