Not had some "Joanna"(Piano) music for awhile so here is a couple from "Belgium"...Must say not heard of "Pia Beck" before but both L/P's are great and does show that she is an accomplished pianist and a individual singer....Sooooooooo anybody who has not heard her before and want a new listening experience have a listen !!! guarantee you'll like it !!!....great what she does with "Teach Me Tonight" !!!...and the "Earl Bostik" reference in "L'amore"

Although the title of this L/P is called "The World" I'm glad that it didn't feature any of his hits it just concentrates on his versions of some great standard songs......and a great job he does with them....Most of the songs have been sung by hundreds of singers so there isn't any "Hit"versions...Its just Matt singing the way he does !!...supplied by Bob from "Belgium"

The Deep River Quartet is a Dutch close harmony group with a wide repertoire with room for gospel, swing, soul, blues, ballads, pop, jazz and opera.
From 1979 until the late eighties, the group existed alongside Dick Rietveld (vocals) and Siebe Vink (also known as Sybrandus Finck: vocals, bass) from Kees Hendriks (vocals) and Wout Bijker (vocals, guitar). Other singers who have sung in the group are Placido R. Hazel and Gene Alexander.
In 1983 the group reached the Top 40 with the single Swing Is The Thing.
Bass Sybrandus Finck (1971, founder) and baritone Dick Rietveld (1979) in 2009, the only two original members, assisted by Ace Vincent (tenor, 1997) and Brian Sporkslede (tenor, 2005).

Now as you know I like Piano Music but I was a little disapointed in this L/P...The arangements were good and the piano playing was good not a dropped note BUT it lacked that certain "Magic" & "Spark"!!!....Like you have the "Honky Tonk" of the "Winifred Attwell" the "Brilliance"& "Originality" of "Peter Nero" and not forgetting the "Jazz Hands" of "Andre Previn" and even the "Sing A Long" of "Russ Conway"......No doubt they are hundreds or probably millions of fans of  "Richard's" that will disagree with me !!!....But I would have liked a bit more OOMPH !!!

Here we have Cilla in very fine voice singing songs of the 60's....to me this is the best Cilla Black recordings that I have heard....She has a voice that sometimes can be a bit on the shrill side but here she seems to have control of it...Its a good set of songs sung well and well worth a download even if you are not keen on her voice you might be surprised !!!
